In a gripping encounter, Knight Scorchers fell narrowly short against Cawnpore Super Kings, who clinched victory by 3 wickets while chasing a modest target of 88 runs.

First Innings – Knight Scorchers Batting
Batting first after winning the toss, the Scorchers were restricted to 87 all out in 16 overs. Despite promising starts from Ashish Yadav (25 off 28) and Sudeept Dwivedi (19 off 22), wickets fell at regular intervals. The middle and lower order struggled to convert, with Manu Sharma  (11* off 6) and Divyansh Sharma (8 off 7) adding some late resistance. The disciplined bowling of Cawnpore Super Kings, especially Mayank Gupta (4/11) and Kartik Pandey (3/19), dismantled the Scorchers’ batting lineup.

Second Innings – Knight Scorchers Fightback
Defending a low total, the Scorchers showed tremendous grit and nearly pulled off a remarkable comeback. Pradeep Kumar emerged as the star performer, delivering a fiery spell of 3/14 in his 4 overs, striking key blows to keep the Scorchers in the game. He was well-supported by Anurag Pandey (1/5) and Neelankar Saroj (1/6), while Rohan Saxena also chipped in with a wicket.
At one stage, the Super Kings were under real pressure with wickets tumbling, but a crucial knock by Sardar Singh Yadav (27 off 28, SR 96) ensured his side scraped home in the 19th over.
